Have you seen how a mother loves and cares for her children? How she’s always afraid something bad will happen to them? She does anything and everything to protect them? Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala loves us 70 times more than a mother loves her children. SubahanAllah. Think about that. Think about that love He subhanahu wa ta’ala has for us. It’s mindblowing.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the trap of routine. We forget the reason why we’re here. Why we actually do the things we do. Lets, for example, take prayer. Prayer is one of the most important worship we as Muslims have to do. Five times a day. At first, we may think about the love of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and do it out of joy. Then suddenly it becomes a routine, something that we HAVE to do. Something that we just want to do to get out of the way and over with.

Nowadays we’re so occupied with everything that we have to do; work, school, kids, marriage, friends, social settings, social media and we forget to sit down once in a while and actually reflect. Reflect upon our lives, upon the love of Allah, about our intentions, are they straight? Why do we do the things that we do?

When we get to know Allah subhanahu wa Ta’ala, when we know about the love Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us and constantly remind ourselves about it, we would rush to salah, we would look forward to praying to Him, its so much easier to wake up for Fajr prayer or wait until Isha, because we love Him suhanahu wa Ta’ala.

Get to know His subhanahu wa ta’alas 99 names and attributions, take notes. What is the meaning for them? This may help us have a better concentration (khusoo’) in salah and bring back the love that we have for Him subhanahu wa ta’ala.

HERE’S a playlist on YouTube of the names of Allah.

This is first and foremost a big reminder for myself.

I love to read and I’ve always loved it. I just wish I had more time for it now. One of my favorite things to do is to go to a bookstore and just look at everything, alone. I actually find it so relaxing and therapeutic! When I’m in Muslim countries I love to go to bookstores and do the same there, searching for good Islamic books. The problem is that I add more books to the collection that I haven’t even read yet, haha! My mission now is to prioritize reading more. I think I have to add it to my to-do-list of the day actually. At least for 15- 20 minutes a day.

I actually needed bookmarks and thought I would make some for myself and also share them with you guys. Maybe these cute DIY bookmarks will make it easier, haha!

You will need:
  • scissors
  • card paper
  • printer
  • yarn
  • hole punch
  • Pearls (optional)

Do whatever is easier for you;

*Print out, cut with a scissor, punch a hole, make a mini tassel in the color of your choice. I used powder pink and white. I have explained step by step how to make one in this blog post (just make the tassel smaller). Pull the tassel trough and make a knot.

*Paper of your choice, use a ruler to measure and cut with a scissor. (You can also use a template set). Make a hole and pull the tassel through and make a knot.

I love how they turned out, so cute. I hope you like it too.

Have a blessed Friday and enjoy your weekend, beautiful ♥

I found this vase at Søstrene Grene and I had to buy it. It’s so chic, I love it. Just perfect for the fresh weekend flowers that I like to try to buy every Friday. Jumuah flowers is now a tradition for me, haha!

This world is full of people competing and running after materialism because of the lack of gratefulness. I absolutely love this. So easy to forget, but so important to remember.

The Body Shop Shower gel Omg, this tropical shower gel smells sooooo good. Do you wanna smell like coconut and pineapple after a shower? Well, here it is – perfect for summer!

I have been living on iced coffee lately, haha! Soooo good in this heat, but if I was to buy one every time that would be a bit expensive. So I usually make one myself at home. If I’m not making one at home then Kaffebrenneriet has the best coffee in my opinion!

I was not sure about this net bag trend, but I found myself giving in and now I love it! Mine is from Nelly 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this, have a blessed Sunday ♥

I actually enjoy and love summer in Oslo when the sun is shining and everyone is happy! Everyone is outside enjoying the sun. The weather has been amazing and the sunny and long days really makes a huge difference in the mood.

Iced coffee, sun, long days, bbq, ice cream, dresses, wide flowy trouser, slippers, picnic, chill on the balcony in the evening, fresh flowers and iced tea.

The winter is long here in Norway, cold and dark most of the time so it really affects the mood in a bad way in the end, haha! We totally deserve this beautiful summer here in Norway.

Enjoy your Friday, be grateful and happy weekend!
