Every Sunday I like to sit down and plan a menu for the week. To plan the meals of the week is both time- and money saving. When writing down what you’re having for the whole week, it’s easier to write all the ingredients that you don’t have at home to your grocery shopping list before going to the store for that food shopping of the week. Instead of going to the store every day which can result in buying a lot of unnecessary things, especially when you’re hungry and can’t wait to eat, haha!

It’s not always easy to think about new ideas, so it pretty much ends up being almost the same every week, haha! But I like to find some inspiration on food blogs and Instagram for example. If there’s dinner left from the day before it’s perfect for lunch or dinner the next day.

Some ideas;

  • Salmon with quinoa and veggies
  • Mexican quinoa bowl
  • Spaghetti
  • Creamy chicken pesto pasta
  • Chicken filet with veggies and rice

I got this perfect meal planner from Søstrene Grene for under 40 KR. Love it!

Have a lovely Sunday! ♥

It’s Friday and time for weekend! Fall is here soon and I’m trying to find some inspiration for new details at home. Love browsing online for some gorgeous interior, and H&M HOME is one of them. These are some of my favorite finds!

KHAKI PILLOW – I have this one in grey, but I absolutely love this color! Gorgeous for fall.

STORAGE BASKET WITH POM POMS – I love anything with tassels and pompoms, haha! So cute little basket.

ROUND MIRROR – Such a cute mirror!

CANDLESTICK IN METAL – Lovely detail to have on a coffee- or dining table!

PILLOW CASE WITH TASSELS – Burnt orange/brown-ish pillow case, what a gorgeous color for fall! And again with them tassels haha!

SCENTED CANDLE – I have no idea if this smells good, but it definitely looks cute!

GLASS WITH GOLD DETAILS – It all lays in the details, right? So cute!

TEAPOT IN PORCELAIN –  How cute is this one?! Imagine those cozy fall evenings at home with this teapot filled with warm yummy tea.

PILLOW CASE IN VELVET – I do have this pillowcase in powder pink, but I absolutely love this color for fall! It says yellow on the website but it kinda looks like mustard/gold-ish.

Have a lovely weekend, beautiful people ♠

First of all, who doesn’t LOVE the smell of coffee? Haha! This might be one of my favorite DIY face scrubs and face masks. Coffee helps with:

  • increasing the blood circulation
  • antioxidants, this will leave your skin clear and clean
  • a smooth skin

  • Coffee grinds
  • Coconut oil (or any oil that you have)
  • Sugar

Mix all the ingredients well and apply to your face while gently massage it in circular motions for a few minutes. Let it sit for a minute or two. Use a clean washcloth soaked in warm water to wipe it off. Rinse your face with cold water to close the pores.

  • 1 tbsp coffee powder
  • 1 tbsp honey

Mix the ingredients well and apply to your face. Rinse off after 20 minutes. After washing your face you will see that this mask will give you a glowing and moisturized skin.

This is perfect for a midweek self-love pamper! Enjoy, beautiful ♥

I had totally forgotten to clean my makeup brushes after a long time, which is so bad! I usually clean them once a week, but I got out of it. I thought I would share the mixture that I make to clean them.

This DIY brush cleaner mixture is so effective. No need to buy expensive brush cleaners, this will make your makeup brushes soft and clean in seconds.

You will need:
  • 1 tbsp dish soap
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Put your brush in the mixture and use your hand flat to swirl the brush on while pouring the water over to get rid of the access. Use a tissue or a towel to wipe the makeup brushes. Let them air dry overnight.

I hope you liked this and have a great day!

Have you seen how a mother loves and cares for her children? How she’s always afraid something bad will happen to them? She does anything and everything to protect them? Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala loves us 70 times more than a mother loves her children. SubahanAllah. Think about that. Think about that love He subhanahu wa ta’ala has for us. It’s mindblowing.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the trap of routine. We forget the reason why we’re here. Why we actually do the things we do. Lets, for example, take prayer. Prayer is one of the most important worship we as Muslims have to do. Five times a day. At first, we may think about the love of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and do it out of joy. Then suddenly it becomes a routine, something that we HAVE to do. Something that we just want to do to get out of the way and over with.

Nowadays we’re so occupied with everything that we have to do; work, school, kids, marriage, friends, social settings, social media and we forget to sit down once in a while and actually reflect. Reflect upon our lives, upon the love of Allah, about our intentions, are they straight? Why do we do the things that we do?

When we get to know Allah subhanahu wa Ta’ala, when we know about the love Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us and constantly remind ourselves about it, we would rush to salah, we would look forward to praying to Him, its so much easier to wake up for Fajr prayer or wait until Isha, because we love Him suhanahu wa Ta’ala.

Get to know His subhanahu wa ta’alas 99 names and attributions, take notes. What is the meaning for them? This may help us have a better concentration (khusoo’) in salah and bring back the love that we have for Him subhanahu wa ta’ala.

HERE’S a playlist on YouTube of the names of Allah.

This is first and foremost a big reminder for myself.
