As you may or may not know, I love planning my upcoming weeks. Both to-do lists and meal planning. I feel like I have more control and I can be more productive. For me, to do lists are amazing so I don’t forget anything and the feeling of checking them off when done is amazing, so satisfying! Am I crazy? Haha.
Meal planning for me with a family is a must. Its money-saving, time-saving and less stressful. Grocery shopping once a week based on what we have at home already that we can use and make a shopping list for the ingredients that we don’t have at home. Usually, we meal plan for Monday to Thursday. Fridays are family days and the weekends are based on what the plan is that weekend, either eating out, take-away, trying a new recipe or just take it as it comes.
Found this planner in Clas Ohlson and I love it. I have it hanging in my kitchen so that I have an overview. Not expensive and looks great.
This winter has been so long and I’m totally ready for the spring that has finally arrived! ‘Oh, happiness!
I’m definitely ready to do some spring shopping though! So I thought I would do a spring wardrobe inspiration post, cause I need one myself! These are some of my favorites I found online and I will link everything down below ♥
I absolutely love blazers and think they’re a must-haves to have in your closet. I bought myself the light brown blazer on in the middle picture (as if I need more blazers…) and I can’t wait to wear it when the weather in Norway is a bit warmer. It’s an oversized blazer, just how I like it. Modest and chic.
Skirts are definitely something I want to buy more of this spring. They’re modest, chic and look great on while the sun is shining! But I actually find it hard to find a hijabi-friendly skirt. There’s always something about the skirt that makes it hard to wear in public, either they’re too short, see-through or has a big split, haha! I do have the brown skirt in the middle, and I love it.
Do you know when you can actually feel your skin needs a big-time facial? It needs all the love it can get. Well, a facial at home is perfect, especially on a Sunday! Here’s a step by step for a perfect Sunday at-home facial;
Take a long and well-deserved bath/shower;
Use your favorite cleanser to wash your face and get some of the dirt removed from the surface.
Apply a gentle face scrub to your skin and massage into your skin.
Use a towel soaked in hot water to steam your face by placing the towel on your face. Or you can use a big bowl with warm water, use a towel over your head and put your head right above the bowl to steam your face.
4. FACEMASK & TONER
Apply your favorite facemask depending on what your skin needs. Use a toner after the facemask.
Now its time for a good moisturizer and eye cream.
ET VOILÀ!You’ll feel fresh, clean and ready for a new and long week! I hope you enjoyed! ♥
I love listening to podcasts on my way to/from work and when taking a fresh walk outside alone. But I needed something new to listen to so I asked on Instagram for any recommendations a long time ago and I want to share with you guys some of my favorites and some of the recommendations that I got;
Ted talks daily
Muslim Central (Mufti Menk, Yasmin Mogahed, Omar Suleiman, Yusha Evans)
So, last week I had a full self-care week, I decided to make time every evening no matter what, to do something that I enjoy and that makes me feel good. And I have to say it was pretty enjoyable! Especially as a mother and in a fulltime job, it’s so important to make time for whatever you like and enjoy.
I will share what I did, perhaps it will inspire you to do the same;
Monday; I bought myself flowers although that’s a Friday thing for me, just because. Such a small act, but it felt so good. Fresh flowers at home are so underrated.
Tuesday; I took a long and much-needed bath, with my favorites from Rituals and with my favorite Origins facemask. Let me say: It. felt. good.
Wednesday; I made time to read the lovely book of Nouma Ali Khan and take some notes from it. It makes you reflect and learn something new. This is something I really love to do but don’t always have time to do, unfortunately.
Thursday; I did a 10 minutes yoga session at home. It was short but much needed for my body. Felt good afterward.
Friday; Had a fun girls-night at my in-laws, with a lot of laughing. Always a great thing for your wellbeing.
Saturday; Took a walk in the city and had a look in the stores. Got me some bits and bobs. I also had some quality time with my son which is always lovely.
Sunday; Prepared for a new week.
Try to make time for yourself for a whole week and see how you feel.
Hello beautiful people! I hope you’re all doing well. I made this weekly planner and thought I would share it with you too. It’s a planner with the days in the week, with goals for that week, dinner menu, and a box with habits to check off; Skincare, gratitude journaling, reading 20 minutes and some movements (whether that’s a workout, a yoga session or a walk outside)
